A sample site. Its residents are shaped like a real suburb. The concept and money figures are made up.

A busy street doesn’t fill a shop. Regulars do.

Think of the regulars you know. Most live within about a 5-minute drive. So before you sign, check who lives around the site.

A real example. A noodle shop opened in a suburb full of young families. Its lunch crowd turned out to be older women and nearby workers. The resident figures missed them. But they did find the shop’s biggest gap: the young families next door it wasn’t reaching.

That’s why every check does two things. It shows who lives nearby. And it rates how far your real customers could differ. The full report adds a street test to find out.

It never judges your food. You make the call.

How it works

Four steps. The first two are free.

  1. Type the address and your concept

Pick the address from the list. Tap a starter like “Coffee shop”, or write one line about your food. The form suggests how far to look.

  2. See the free check in about a minute

You see who lives around the site and how well they match your concept. Add your rent and average spend to see customers a day to break even.

  3. Get the full report for US$19, paid once

Pay once through Stripe. The report opens in your browser. Save it as a PDF, or send the link to your partner.

  4. Count who walks past before you sign

Print the tally sheets. Count who walks past at lunch, in the evening and at the weekend. Then compare them with the residents in your report.

Before you trust a report like this

“Is this a verdict on my site?”

No. It shows the fit, the gap and the money. You make the call. There’s no success score, because nobody can honestly give you one. It never judges your food. It checks who lives around the site.

“Where does the data come from?”

Residents come from WorldPop’s 2020 estimates, made at the University of Southampton. They count people by age and sex on a 100 m grid. Food places, stations and offices come from OpenStreetMap. We read it when you check. The money checks use your own figures.

AI reads your concept to judge which ages it suits and which nearby places are like yours. In the full report it drafts the fixes from your findings. If AI isn’t available, the report uses standard fixes and says so. The free check then reads your concept with simple keyword rules, and says that too. The sample report shows a set AI wrote for the sample site. AI never tells you to open or not. How the check works

“The people who live nearby aren’t my customers.”

Right, and the check says so. Resident figures count who lives nearby, not who walks in. So every check rates how far your real customers could differ: low, medium or high. A station or a big cluster of offices nearby raises it. So does food that draws a community from across the city. The full report adds a 3-day street test to count who really walks past.

“Does it work in my country?”

In most countries, yes. WorldPop covers most of the world on a 100 m grid. Addresses and places come from OpenStreetMap, which is thinner in some countries. The figures are 2020 estimates. In fast-growing areas, check on the ground. The money checks work in 12 currencies. If there are no figures for your spot, the free check tells you. You pay nothing to find out.

“What if I have no sales guess yet?”

Leave it blank. With your rent and average spend, you still get customers a day to break even. The full report still shows the slow-start check and the regulars you need. The rent checks need a guess. Without one, the report shows the sales your rent needs instead. A rough guess is fine. We test it at 70% to stay careful. Without rent and average spend there are no money checks at all, so add those two before you pay.

“I’m already open. Is this for me?”

Yes. Run it on your own address. The free check shows who lives around you and how well they match. The full report names the big groups nearby your concept barely speaks to. It also shows nearby areas where more of your people live. That’s where to aim flyers and delivery.

“Is US$19 worth it?”

Compare it with one day of your rent. A lease ties you to that rent for years. The report only has to change one decision to pay for itself. That could be the site, the menu or the hours. If the free check already tells you enough, you don’t need the report. And if it doesn’t help, you get your money back.

“Can I get my money back?”

Yes. If the report doesn’t help, email the address on your Stripe receipt within 7 days. You get a full refund. No questions asked. Paid, but the report didn’t open? Come back to this page in the same browser. It offers “Open my report” for 7 days.
